Henry M. Bankston on November 11,1842 gives to his "Old Father and Mother, Elijah and Elizabeth Bankston" for life 50 acres of land in the southeast corner of lot 127, 2nd district, Henry County (now Butts) to revert at their death to the donor or his heirs. Elijah Bankston had a son named Pickney. (Deed Book F, page 165, Records-Butts County, Georgia. This property is located about 1 mile north of Jenkinsberg, then south on England Chapel Road about 1/2 mile, from this point the property would run west to the present day Henry County line.

Widow of Elijah Bankston, Elizabeth Morris Bankston was living in the household of her son Alfred Bankston, in 1850 census.
