Elizabeth Hausenfluck was born in Shenandoah County, Virginia, about 1788, daughter of Henry Hausenfluck and Margaret Fortig and given the name Elizabeth, even though they already had an older daughter with Elizabeth as part of the name. She was probably given an additional name but there is no record of it. It may have been Anna, since she named her youngest daughter Elizabeth Anna. Elizabeth married Adam Coffman (also spelled Kauffman) in 1806 and lived at "Coffmantown", west of Woodstock, Virginia, and had several children baptized at Zion Pine Lutheran Church in that neighborhood, the last one in 1818.
Elizabeth died by 1820. Her husband Adam remarried to Mary Cook in 1820 and eventually moved further south into Rockingham County.
