Elizabeth Gamble was baptised on 1st Mary 1771 at Barnack in Northamptonshire, daughter of Ann Gamble, formerly Deacon, and her husband William Gamble, a mason.
On 21st October 1795, aged 24, Elizabeth married William Gamble at the church of St George, Hanover Square in Westminster, in the western suburbs of London. The following April they had a baby son. A couple of weeks later, Elizabeth's father died back in Barnack. The following month Elizabeth's son was baptised in Westminster, and they named him William Gamble Mason after her father. By November 1796 the family had returned to Barnack, with Elizabeth's son sadly dying as a baby and being buried at Barnack. Elizabeth's mother died the following year.
Elizabeth's parents appear to have had a business at Barnack, seemingly to do with the quarries there. A newspaper article of 1800 describes how Elizabeth's husband and sister Sarah had taken on the running of the business.
Elizabeth and William went on to have another eight children baptised at Barnack between 1801 and 1813.
William appears to have worked as a small scale farmer, or cottager.
Elizabeth's first known grandchild was born in 1827. She had at least twenty grandchildren born in her lifetime.
The 1841 census finds Elizabeth and William living in Barnack, with William described as an agricultural labourer.
Elizabeth died on 4th April 1842 at Barnack, aged about 71. William outlived her by eight years, dying in 1850.

This baptism has been linked to the Elizabeth who married William Mason on the basis that it is in the parish in which she lived most of her adult life and at around the time implied by the ages she gave as an adult, and on the basis of an 1800 newspaper article which makes clear that William Mason was involved in administering the estate of William and Ann Gamble on behalf of their daughters.
