Walter and Elizabeth presumably had a dau Jane A. Gilchrist (b. abt 1852, Midlothian, Scotland). In 1850 a Walter Gilchrist, doctor of medicine, surgeon and dealer in shares, was sequestrated (Caledonian Mercury, findmypast).
