Bessie Bastin, age 20

Bessie Bastin was the daughter of Emmet Brockman Bastin and Harriet Alice Kincart. Bessie married Monroe Cook in April of 1924, in Bentonville, Arkansas.

Oral Traditions

When the family was vacationing at the hot springs in Arkansas, Bessie found a husband. She knew him about three months before they got married.

Bessie later married a Mr. Anderson in Urbana, Illinois. They moved to Tucson or Phoenix, Arizona, and then to California.

Burial

Bessie is buried in Rantoul, Illinois next to Monroe Cook.
