Elizabeth was the first white female born in New England.

From Memoir of Rev. William Robinson

His wife survived him for ten years, and resided with her son William, at Little Compton, RI, where she died May 23, 1717... The following notice of her death is from the Boston News Letter of June 17, 1717.

Little Compton, 31st May.--This morning died here Mrs. Elizabeth Paybody, late wife of Mr. William Paybody, in the ninety-third year of her age. She was the daughter of John Alden, Esq. and Priscilla his wife, daughter of Mr. William Mullins. This John Alden and Priscilla Mullins were married at Plymouth in New England, where their daughter Elizabeth was born. She was exemplarily virtuous and pious, and her memory is blessed. She has left a numerous posterity. Her granddaughter Bradford is a grandmother.

The inscription upon her tomb at Little Compton

"Here lyeth the Body of Elizabeth Pabodie, who dyed May ye 31st, 1717, and in the 94th year of age." The old slab is now inclosed in a new tomb, containing this inscription:

A bird from Plymouth's Mayflower sprung
Transplanted here to live and bloom
Her memory, ever sweet and young
The centuries guard beneath this tomb.

Now, after more than 100 years of research and ten years of editing, the first volume of the Alden Five Generations Project is in print. It covers only the first four generations of the Alden family through all eight children who had descendants. Mayflower Families Through Five Generations, Volume 14, Myles Standish, published in 1997, covers Alden descendants through daughter Sarah who married Myles son Alexander. Mayflower Families in Progress, Henry Sampson, carries on descendants who intermarried with Samsons, including births of the sixth generation. Four more volumes will be needed to complete the fifth generation of Alden descendants: Volume 16, Part 2, will contain the fifth generation descendants of daughter Elizabeth who married William Pabodie...
