Appears to have died early. This is the only evidence I have found of Eliza's existence.

    From some entries it would appear that as a matter of course the birth date was entered in the register rather than the baptismal date.
    The register tends to be quite messy, possibly because it was shared between two churches a few miles apart and had to be transferred from one to the other as needed.

  2.   Robert was the schoolmaster, not his wife Janet.
