Facts and Events
Elias's marriage to Susanna Scudder was perhaps a second marriage for him. He and Susanna were married in 1837 but in the 1840 census record, his household had 1 male (5 and under 10) and one female (10 and under 15) that I have not identified. The other female under 5 in this 1840 census would be Julia A who was born in 1839; so she was Susanna's child. 1840 Census: Elias Flesher male 20-30 1 female 10 and under 15 (unknown, b abt 1825-1830) 1 male 5 and under 10 (unknown, b abt 1830-1836) 1 female under 5 (probably Julia b Dec 1839) 1 female 20-30 (wife: Susanna) Elias and family was found on the 1850 Salem, Warren Co, OH Census. His Mother, Lucinda, was living with them.
