Born prior to the marriage of his parents, who are identified as Elias, single son of Elias Birk, and Katharina, single daughter of Jacob Benzing. Emigrated in 1847 with his wife and children.
Elias Bürck[2] (Burk post emigration) was born in Schwenningen, Baden-Württemberg, 8 March 1807, son of Erhard Bürck and Catharina Benzing.[3]
He married in Schwenningen 24 July 1832 Agatha Majer, b 16 Nov 1810.[4]
The family emigrated in April 1847, settling in Auglaize Co., Ohio. It appears his parents joined them in 1850.
