Faris, Elijah - born in Halifax County, Virginia, father moved when soldier was child to Pittsylvania County, Virginia, where soldier entered service in 1779; granted Pension age 71 in Washington County, Kentucky, 1832; died there 6/23/1851; married 2/25/1789 to Martha Colter/Coulter at house of her father in Kentucky; widow granted Pension age 84 in Washington County, Kentucky 1853 when her brother Isaiah made affidavit there age 77; no mention of any children; query letter in file states soldier's last will & testament probated Springfield, Washington County, Kentucky.
