!NAME: AKA - Elijah Hell on 1870 census. Also Elias Hell. Sometime in his generation the family changed its name from Hell to Hale. CENSUS: 1860 - In North Codorus, York, PA - Ancestry Image 51 of 56. In the home (all born in PA) were Eli Hail 24, Mary 24, Israel 4, John 4, and Henry 2.

                   1870 - In Jackson, York, PA - In the home (all born in PA) were Elijah Hell 33, Mary 36, Henry 12, Louisa 8, Martin 7, Levi 2 and a male 1/12.
