From: "fred cross" <fecross@sonetcom.com> John Ford and Eleanor Hill Cross George Bible Record- Leake Co.,Ms. Note: Eleanor Hill Cross George Born 1813 was the daughter of Capt.William Cross (B.1770;D.1845 in Shelby Co.Ala.) and Susannah (Susan)Lane Cross (B.1780 in Va.;D.1856 Shelby Co.Ala). Both are buried in the William Cross Cemetery, near Pelham, Shelby Co.Ala. William Cross was in Franklin Co.,TN. in 1808, where he bought land on the Elk River, owning 3000 acres in all. He sold this in 1816 and moved his family to Shelby Co.Ala. Census: 1850 Neshoba Co, MS Census: 1880 Madison Co, MS
