    Eileen M RICKORD, (March 23, 1922 - February 12, 2006)
    Eileen M RICKORD, 83 of Decatur passed away on Sunday, 12 Feb 2006 at her residence. She was born in Fort Wayne to Joseph & Isabell SMITH. She married John H RICKORD on 30 Nov 1943; he passed away 17 Jun 2004. Eileen was a member of St Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, the Rosary Society, Harvest House and President of NCCW. She also was a homemaker and worked at the Decatur Daily Democrat.


    Surviving are her children: 4 sons Steven W, John A, and Bernard J RICKORD, Decatur; Edward J RICKORD, Hawaii; 6 daughters: Margaret A (William) POGUE, Decatur; Mary Lou (Donald) Van CAMP, Ossian; Kathleen S SCOTT, Paulding OH; Joan M (Richard) RUMPEL, Nancy J (Charles) HAMILTON, Rose M BURGE, all of Decatur; 23 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son Daniel L RICKORD, a daughter Janet K SMITH, 2 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, a brother and 2 sisters.

    Visitation Tuesday with Rosary 2:30 at the funeral home. Calling also on Wednesday 9:30, Prayer service at 10:20 at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur, Father John Strebig officiating. Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are to St Mary's Church Improvement Fund or Family Hospice of NE Indiana.
