Biography
Ed was a 5th Generation Appalachian American.
Ed was born on February 11, 1872, in Montgomery County, Kentucky. [2]
His parents were George Washington Dale] and Mary Jane Johnson][1][2]
Home in 1880 Aarons Run, Montgomery County, Kentucky, United States. He was 8 years old and living with his parents and 6 siblings. [1]
In 1900, he was 28 years old and lived in Montgomery, Kentucky. He was living with his cousin Albert Sidney Johnson. [5]
He married Cora Bell Lovelace] around 1908. [6]
Together they had at least 8 children:

By 1910 Ed had married Cora and they had two small children in the home; Liza M. and Fenton Clay. They were living in Aarons Run, Montgomery, Kentucky, United States. [6]
In 1920 Ed and Cora lived in Aarons Runn, Montgomery County, Kentucky, United States. They now had 3 young ones. [7]
In 1930 They are still in District 2, Montgomery County, Kentucky, United States. They now have 7 children in the home. [8]
In 1940 We find them in the same place. The children are leaving the next, only 4 left at home. [12]
In the 1950 census Edward (age 81) was the married head of household in Bourbon, Kentucky, United States. In the home with him we’re Cora and their daughter Martha.[17]
He passed away on March 13, 1964, in Bourbon, Kentucky, at the age of 92. [2][18]
He was laid to rest on March 16th in the North Middletown Cemetery in North Middletown, Bourbon County, Kentucky, USA. [2] [19]
