Estate in Weymouth [citing Weymouth Hist 1:195-6]; Marriage: None recorded; Children: None Recorded; Savage conflated him with Edward Bennett of Providence, Rhode Island but the latter sold the land of his father Samuel in 1686. James S. Elston suggested Priscilla Bennett wife of William Carpenter was daughter of Edward Bennett [citing TAG 70:204] but no evidence is seen for this relationship - she may have been sister or unrelated. He d.s.p. after 1645. No record is found for Pope's claim he rec'd arms from Pynchon in 1636.

'It is not certain, moreover, what Priscilla's relationship to Edward Bennett was ... And in any case, his origin and the identity of his wife are unknown.'
