Edgar was in Lancs Fusiliers in Boer War and at Gallipoli, 1915; he had an engineering business at Hulme, Manchester, and retired to Devon 1928 (web). He worked for the family firm of Edward Wood and Co., retd to Winkleigh, Devon; after his wife died in 1941, he remarried in 1943 but died 4 years later ("Iron Elwells").
