Dawson Earl Dean 80, born March 23, 1916 in Kingston, OK, a resident of Albuquerque since 1962, was called home by his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, July 15, 1996. Mr. Dawson was a WWII veteran serving in the US Navy, in both the Atlantic and Pacific. He was a member of the Heights First Church of the Nazarene in Albuquerque where he served as a board member for years. Mr. Dawson worked as a manager and agent for Banker's Life and Casualty Insurance Co. in AZ, CO and NM. He exemplified a life given to Jesus Christ, and his example will live on in the hearts and minds of his survivors. Mr. Dawson loved being with his family, riding motorcycles, and flying airplanes. He always had a word of comfort and encouragement for his fellow man. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lillian, of Albuquerque; sons, Graydon Dawson, Bethany, Ok. Eddie Dawson, Albuquerque, N.M.; grandsons, Brian, Shea, and Drew Dawson; sisters, Babe Robinson and Imogene Dawson, both of OKC; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Dawson was preceded in death by his brother, R.M. Dawson, Jr. in 1992. Services were held Friday in Albuquerque and will also be held Monday, 2 p.m., at OKC First Church of the Nazarene. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Gene Adams Funeral Home from 10am to 9pm Sun.
