In the 1930 US Federal Census, the 18 year old Dudley was not working, still in school.
In the 1935 Florida State Census, Dudley's occupation was "storekeeper". His level of education was through the 10th grade.
Dudley enlisted as a private in the US Army at Camp Blanding in September 1942 "for the duration plus 6 months". He had 4 years of high school and a civil occupation as a clerk in financial institutions. Height 73", weight 240 lbs.
According to Pfeiffer Family of Pensacola, Dudley served on Eisenhower's staff during WWII. He retired as a Major from the USAF after 30 years of service.
