On 28 Oct 1801, he and his sister Rachel Petticoat, deeded to their brother, John Barnes, Stevenson's Deer Park. Dorsey's wife, Lydia, consented. On 24 Nov 1826, Dorsey deeded 3 acres of Stevenson's Deer Park to Moses Barnes. In 1809, Dorsey Barnes, Sr., and Dorsey, Jr., were sureties for the administration of the estate of Adam Barnes.
