INFORMATION TAKEN FROM TEXAS DEATH CERTIFICATE Dorothy Clearman Bassel died at Santa Fe Memorial Hospital in Temple, Bell County, Texas, on January 14, 1976, from colon cancer. She was 82 years of age. The widow had been residing at Rt 5 Box 402-A, Temple, Texas, and had been hospitalized for 9 days prior to her death. The daughter of John S. Clearman and Mary Virginia Abney was born in Texas on September 23, 1893. Burial was January 16, 1976, in the North Belton Cemetery, in Belton, Texas. Harper-Talasek Funeral Home of Temple, handled the arrangements. Information was provided by her son-in-law, Earl Fielding.
