   Dorothy Louise Smith, 79, of Littlestown, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003, at her home. She was the wife of David E. Smith for 59 years.
   Born Oct. 7, 1923, in Littlestown, she was the daughter of the late Raymond A. and Annie C. (Krumrine) Bittle.
   She was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Littlestown; the Littlestown Women's Club and Senior Citizens Center; and the New Oxford AARP. She was a life member of the Littlestown Ladies Auxiliary VFW 6954. She had worked many years at Windsor Shoe Co., Littlestown, and retired from Westinghouse of Gettysburg in 1986.
   She was a 1941 graduate of Littlestown High.
   Surviving also are a daughter, Linda L. Conrad of Hanover; two sisters, Phyllis Baumgardner of Littlestown and Anna Crabill of New Oxford; two stepgrandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
   She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Harmon and Freda Ganske; and one brother, Elmer Bittle.
