Telegraph Herald (Dubuque, IA) - Thursday, January 6, 2000 Doris M. Alt, 69, of 1209 Circle Drive East, Beaver Dam, Wis., formerly of Dubuque, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at Beaver Dam Community Hospital. Private family services will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam, with the Rev. Daniel Massie officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. There will be no visitation. The Murray Community Funeral Home, Beaver Dam, is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Alt worked as a nurse at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital and then at Clearview Nursing Home, retiring in 1995. She was born on Oct. 12, 1930, in Otter Creek, Iowa, daughter of Frank and Agnes (Laughlin) Anglin. She married Meldon Alt on Dec. 30, 1953, in Dubuque; he died in 1996. She attended St. Joseph's Academy and the Mercy School of Nursing, Dubuque. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam. Surviving are three daughters, Patrice (Steve) Hughes and Peggy Alt, both of Beaver Dam, and Paula Alt, of Minneapolis; two sons, Dan (Michelle) Alt, of Geneva, Ill., and Pete Alt, of Kenosha, Wis.; five grandchildren; a sister, Joanne (Jim) Heiderscheit, of Dubuque; two brothers, Carl (Luane) Anglin and Jack (LaVerne) Anglin, both of Dubuque; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gregory, in 1959; and a grandson, Bradley Steven Hughes, in 1992. |
