Child Dies At Cuba City

CUBA CITY, Wis. -- Gregory Alt, 1 1/2-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Meldon Alt of Cuba City, died Thursday night at a hospital here of injuries received 24 hours earlier in a two-car crash. Vincent Degman, 21, Darlington, died at 4 pm Thursday from injuries suffered in the same accident.

In critical condition in the infant's mother, Doris. The father, Meldon, 31, driver of one of the cars, fractured his left arm.

Three other men in the Degman auto received cuts and bruises.

Funeral services for Gregory will be held Monday at 8 pm (C.S.T.) at St. Rose's Church here. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Haudenshield Funeral Home here after 6 pm (C.S.T.) Sunday.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Alt, Cuba City, and his maternal grandmother, Alice Anglin, Dubuque.
