Chenoweth, 88, of Nicut, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 1996, at Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Ivydale. He was born in Nicut, a son of the late David O. and Mary Jane Knotts Chenoweth. He was a former employee of Litman Motor Lines Co. and was retired from Eazor Freight, Parkersburg. He was a well-known area horseman who had raised and handled draft horses the majority of his life. He was an avid outdoorsman and fox hunter. He was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church, Nicut. Surviving are four sons, Richard Chenoweth of Ravenna, Ohio, Denver Chenoweth, Jr., of Orange Park, Fla., James Chenoweth of Superior, Ariz., and Roger Chenoweth of Nicut; six daughters, Helen Hathaway of Akron, Kathryn Arnold of Superior, Sharon Smith of Ravenna, Sue McKown of North Royalton, Ohio, Karen Bess of Parma, Ohio, and Judy Meadows of Tanner; two brothers, Thurl Chenoweth and Wesley Chenoweth, both of Park-ersburg; one sister, Etta Wheeler of Parkersburg; 26 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Robert Carl Chenoweth; two brothers, Carl Chenoweth and David Chenoweth; and two grandsons. Services were held at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Burial was in Chenoweth Cemetery, Nicut. References
