According to the Shankland Family Research by Albert B. Shankland, David married Sarah 'Sally' Wolfe on 19 June 1799 in the First Presbyterian Church of Lewes, Delaware. David and Sarah had John Wolfe (1801-1860 ); William Jonas (abt 1810-bef 1850); Kendall M. (1806-1877); and Hester (1813-1893) who married Solomon Witt. David and his brother John emigrated to Kentucky between 1800 and 1810.
