- ↑ Source:Jackson, Francis. History of the Early Settlement of Newton, County of Middlesex, Massachusetts, from 1639 to 1800, p. 401, shows eldest son William, followed by a son Daniel, then Jeremiah and the rest. Jackson shows no birth date for the son Daniel, but says he m. 1726 Mercy Seger. Newton VRs show David Robinson marrying Mercy Seger. Henry Seger's probate file mentions David Robinson (and calls Mercy the youngest daughter of Henry, so younger than Thankful b. 16957). No birth for Daniel Robinson is found, but William, the father, had a brother David b. 1678. No death date or probate has been located for either name. No son Daniel, or David, is mentioned in the father's will of 1742. It could be that it was the brother David that married Mercy, but Watertown Records call him "lame boy Dauid Robinson" and a guardian was appointed to take care of him, so that seems unlikely.
