Some sources list David H. Potter as the son of Isaac Potter and Catherine Hixenbaugh, who moved to from Ohio to Henry County, Illinois about 1854. I have no evidence against this, however I have no documentary evidence for it.

A recently-published book makes this claim, but the author of this article (about Coshocton County, Ohio) did not give his full name, nor any cited evidence.
