b) David Patton, b. 1800, married ca. 1829; living 1850 Jackson Co TN with wife Salley, nee Maxwell. They married prior to 1840 and had, apparently, no issue. In March 1842 he provided bond for Wm Carr, the first Clerk of Courts in Putnam Co. Tenn. He is not found in 1860 census and possibly moved from the area..
