Death Certificate #75973-18 No. 42 Primary district # 813-3261. Bullet wound in head, supposed suicide. Identified on July 14, 1918 by his brother Nicolas Meyers. Coal miner. Lived at Somerset County, Paint Twp, Mine 30. They had two other children stillborn.

Body found in Carpenter Park is Identifies; Was Well Dressed

The dead body fond late yesterday afternoon at Carpenter Park, has been identified by the police as that of David Myers of No 36 Mine. It is believed that Myers committed suicide. On the right side of the body was a revolver.

The man's left wrist was bandaged. Records show that David Myers sustained an injured left wrist in and accident at the mine July 3.. He disappeared from his home last Tuesday and had not been seen since.

Myers was 33 years old. He had been rather despondent since his wrist was injured, but relatives claim they have no idea what might have prompted the suicide. Myers was well dressed.
