David was born Feb. 2, 1930, in Rogue River, the son of William F. and Jennie M. Jones. He died Jan. 20, 2009, in Coos Bay.
David served in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in the South Pacific . . . . He spent his working career as a carpenter and a custom home builder in Klamath County. After retirement, he relocated to Gold Beach and then to Coos Bay, as he loved to fish. He also enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. David was best known for his wonderful sense of humor and his great love of animals. He attended the Greenacres Community Church.
David is survived by his beloved dog and faithful companion, Paco; daughters, . . . [grandchildren]; sister . . ; numerous nieces and nephews; and many cherished friends.
