The State of Mifsouri. To all persons to whom these presents shall come, Greeting . Know ye that whereas David Hamilton late of the County of Clay died intestate as it is said having at the time of his death property in this State which may be lost destroyed or diminished in value if speedy care be not taken of the same to the end therefore the Said property may be collected preserved and disposed of according to law we do here by appoint Simeon Wilhoit administrator of all and Singular the goods and chattels rights and credits which use? of the Said David Hamilton at the time of his death with full power and authority to secure and dispose of Said property according to law and collect all monies due Said deceased and in general to do and perform all other acts and things which are or hereafter may be required of him by law.
In testimony where of I Greenick Bird clerk of the county court in and for the county of Clay afore said have hereunto signed my and affixed the Seal of Said court at office this 1st day of January A.D. 1849

In testimony whereof I have here unto Subscribed my name and affixed the Seal of Said court at office in liberty this ___ day of A.D. 184_
Know all men by these presents, that Mr. Simeon Wilhoit as principal, and Anderson Hamilton and Henry Wilhoit as security, are held and firmly bound unto the State of Missouri, in the full sum of Two Hundred dollars; To the payment of which, well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Signed and sealed the 1st day of January A.D. 1849
The conditions of the above bond is, that if Simeon Wilhoit administrator of the Estate of David Hamilton deceased, shall faithfully administer said Estate, account for, pay and deliver all money and property of said estate, and perform all other things touching said administration required by law, or order or decree of any Court having jurisdiction, then the above bond to be void, otherwise to remain in full force.

The affidavit of Simeon Wilhoit on application for Letters of Administration on the estate of David Hamilton deceased, state to the best of his knowledge and belief, that the deceased died without a will, and that he left two children, to wit: Preston Hamilton and Anderson Hamilton who reside in Clay county, Missouri and furthermore that he will make a perfect inventory of and faithfully administer all, the estate of the deceased, and pay the debts, as far as the assets will extend, and the law direct, and account for and pay all assets which shall come to his possession or knowledge
