David P. Crumrine, 70, of chestnut Street, Beallsville, died at 6 pm Wednesday, December 6, 1995, in Washington Hospital.
He was born October 2, 1925 in Wheeling, W. Va., a son of Audley S. Crumrine, who died March 1, 1995, and Freda Show Crumrine, who died September 27, 1993.
Mr. Crumrine retired in 1990 as parts manager at Arnold Pontiac in Houston. He had served as parts manager at various dealerships for more than 40 years.
He graduated from Centerville High School in 1943 and was treasurer of the homecoming reunion alumni association.
Mr. Crumrine attended Waynesburg College and served in the Navy Air Corps during World War II.
During the 1950s, he was a well-known fast-pitch softball pitcher in Washington and Fayette counties.
Mr. Crumrine was a member of Beallsville United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Lois Lee Crumrine, whom he married January 7, 1948; a son, David L. Crumrine of Fredericktown; two granddaughters, Alyson and Alyssa Crumrine; two sisters, Audrey Byers of Uniontown R.D.6 and Sandra Gregory of Eighty Four; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a sister, A. Yvonne Greyhosky, who died October 17, 1995.
