Audley s. Crumrine, 93, of Deemston Borough, Fredericktown R.D.1, died Wednesday, March 1, 1995, in Humbert Lane Health Care Center.
He was born September 13, 1901, in Deemston Borough a son of David and Cora Crumrine.
He was an active member of East Bethlehem Baptist Church of Deemston Borough, where he had served as a teacher of the men's Bible class, Sunday school superintendent, deacon and trustee of the church.
Mr. Crumrine retired in 1973 as executive director of the Washington County Housing Authority, having served from 1953 to 1973.
He also was a member of the Washington county Redevelopment Authority from 1961 to 1973.
Mr. Crumrine was moderator of Ten Mile Baptist Association and served on the board of directors for the Baptist Homes and the Washington County East Seal Society.
He was the former president of Deemston Borough Council, a member of the former Beallsville IOOF Lodge 832 and served in the Army Corps of Engineers during World War II.
On June 22, 1925, he married Freda Doretha Show, who died September 27, 1993.
Surviving are a son, David P. Crumrine of Beallsville; three daughters, Mrs. August (Yvonne) Greyhosky of Carlisle, Audrey Byers of Uniontown R.D.6 and Sandra Gregory of Eighty Four; eight grandchildren, David L. Crumrine, Gary Geyhosky, Jeffrey Byers, Mark Byers, Sherry Byers, David Byers, Taryn Seeber and Bryan Gregory; and four great-granddaughters.
A granddaughter, Sherrill Geyhosky, is deceased.
