David J. Crumrine, b. 28 March 1839 m. Sophronio Worlds, b. 28 Dec. 1849, d. 6 June 1909 In 1870 census a farm laborer in Jackson Twp,, Darke Co. O. "Old Dave" and his two boys lived in Union City, Ind. about 1905, reports people who knew him. He enlisted in army, 10 Sept. 1861 for 3 yrs. He was discharged 17 Oct. 1862 on surgeon's certificate of disability. Served as Pvt. in Co. B., 44th Reg. Discharge records of Darke Co. "Said David Crumrine...fair complexion, hazel eyes, light hair and by occupation when enrolled a plasterer. Given at Gallipolis, O. this 17th day of October 1862." He listed as 22 yrs.
