Gloversville, Fulton Co., NY 9 Nov. 1922; graduated Middlebury College, VT; he was a code specialist assigned to the Office of Strategic Services (forerunner of the CIA) and was sent to northern Burma and China in 1945; After the war, he did a variety of jobs before becoming a minister, including teaching school, working in public relations and working as an aide to Senator Norris Cotton in Washington, DC; per letter dated 16 Mar. 1967 “in the church since 1962 and was working on my theological studies while pasturing the church”; d. Plainfield, NH 4 Apr. 1969; bur. Freeman family cemetery, Rte. 12A, Plainfield, NH He m. Bloomington, IN 19 Mar 1944 MARY EMMA WHITNEY (David was in an Army language school and Mary traveled from NH out to IN to get married) daughter of John Willard (b. 28 Mar. 1889; d. 26 Apr. 1951) and Madge Marion (Daniels) (b. 19 Feb. 1885; d. 1959) Whitney, b.
