1930 he was a general farmer. Obituary DARLEY CORL'S SERVICES HELD HERE TUESDAY Was Prominent in 100F Lodge Work at Elwell -- Funeral services for Darley C. Corl, 74, Route 1, Elwell, were held Tuesday morning at Moody funeral home. Mr. Corl had lived in Gratiot county since early childhood at the same home one-half mile north and a mile west of Elwell in Seville township. He was found dead there Saturday and his death was due to a heart attack, according to Coroner G.V. Wright. It was believed that he had expired some time Friday. Mr. Corl was prominent in the Oddfellows' lodge at Elwell, having served as its noble grand two different times. He had been a farmer all his life except for a few years during War II when he was employed at Alma Trailer company. He was born May 8, 1880, in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Corl. Surviving are five sons: Leo, of Detroit; Cliden, Elwell; Burl, of Alma; Murl, Dearborn; and Jessie, of Norwalk, Calif. There are two daughters, Mrs. Flossie Hole, of Alma and Mrs. Mary Fodor, of Detroit. He also leaves his stepmother, Mrs. Nora Corl, of Alma. There are 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, along with nieces and nephews. Dr. Claude D. Dicks, pastor of the Elwell Methodist church, officiated for the funeral, which was an I.O.O.F. service, and burial was in Seville cemetery.
