Dr. Troha writes: I have located the obituary of Daniel Sturgeon, the husband of Laura Frost Sturgeon, in a Connellsville, Pennsylvania newspaper:

From The Daily Courier, Saturday Evening, January 3, 1925, Volume 33, Number 45, Page 1, Column 4:“DANIEL STURGEON DIES IN UNIONTOWN; MEMBER FAYETTE BAR

Daniel Sturgeon, 64 year-old member of the County Bar and one of the most widely known residents of Uniontown, died Friday [i.e. Friday, January 2, 1925] in the Uniontown Hospital following an operation for appendicitis a week ago Friday. He was apparently on the road to recovery when he suffered a relapse, heart trouble being given as the cause of death.

Mr. Sturgeon was born in Philadelphia, a son Dr. William Henry Sturgeon and Emily Dawson Sturgeon, and a grandson of United States Senator Daniel Sturgeon of Pennsylvania for whom he was named. He located in Uniontown at the age of 25 years [the original is illegible; it might be "15"]. He was one of the pioneers in the Citizens Title & Trust Company of Uniontown of which he was a director and a large stockholder. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Uniontown and was also affiliated with several of the lodges of the Masonic order. Besides his widow, Mrs. Laura Frost Sturgeon, he is survived by one brother, Dr. John D. Sturgeon, and three nieces, Misses Mary, Eleanor and Katherine Sturgeon, all of Uniontown. The funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock [the original is illegible; it may actually say "3:30"] at the family home, with Rev. Dr. William Hamilton Spence, assisted by Rev. Dr. William R. Van Bushkirk, officiating.”
