Personal History

Daniel Peacock, third son of Samuel Peacock and Mary Kittredg,[2] was born 7 March 1724/5, in Billerica, Province of Massachusetts Bay.[1][2] He died before 6 November 1747, in Cape Breton.[4]

On 15 April 1740,[3] in Billerica, Daniel Peacock of Tewksbury (formerly a part of Billerica), aged 15 years, appeared before the Justice of the Peace and declared that he had chosen Joseph Kittredge of Tewksbury to be his guardian. On 16 November 1741, Joseph Kittredg, husbandman, and William Kittredg, innholder, both of Tewksbury, signed a bond in the amount of £500.

In 1743 Daniel was granted a legacy of £83-15-⅔ from his father's estate to be paid by his brother William.[5]

On 6 November 1747,[4] in Tewksbury, the heirs of Daniel Peacock, “late deceased at Capebreton,” petitioned the court to allow Thomas Kittredge of Tewksbury to administer the estate. Three days later, Thomas Kittredg of Tewksbury, husbandman, along with Joseph Perry, gentleman, and Arthur Clark, tanner, both of Sherborn, signed a bond in the amount of £500.
