According to E. Leonard, in The Newton Genealogy (de Pere, Wisc., 1915)

DANIEL SHOREHAM NEWTON' (Calvin, MarslialP, Obediali*, Thomas', John-, Richard^), son of Major Calvin and Elizabeth (Keyes) Newton of Shrewsbury, Mass., Brattlehoro and Shoroham, Vt.. was bom at Brattleboro. Vt, May 2, 1801, and died at South Glens Falls, Saratoga County, N. Y., May 17, 1895. He married Mary Ann Martin. Mr. Newton lived at Cllens Falls, N. Y. He had five children. The names of two only can I obtain.
