*Marriage Bonds of Campbell Co. Va., Vol. VI p. 799.
John H. Plunkett, listed on Sophia Wickersham's marriage license as an uncle was shot and killed in 1815, the year of Sophia's marriage.
*Family Bible owned by Daniel Boatwright & Sophia Wickersham name the first seven of his nine children. The record shows James R; Valentine; Sarah Ann; Nancy Allen; Ambrose R; and Mary Frances. The names of Daniel and Benjamin the two younger children are not recorded. The information pertaining to the two younger children came from John Milton Boatwright on November 1, 1954, and also from his brother, Cary Frederick Boatwright, both of Iowa.
* Daniel died in the fall of 1838, Daniel and Sophia's youngest son (Daniel Boone Boatwright) was born that following spring.
* Campbell Co. Va. Land records Book. 30, pg 158 indicated Daniel died in Hancock Co. IN. Probate was in Hendricks County. Daniel owned land in Hendricks Co, and sold or willed it to his children. Daniel owned the following piece of land in Hendricks Co., IN, which was recorded on page 8 of the Government Tract Book, 18 Apr 1834. E1/2 SW1/4 Sec 18 Twp 17N Rng 1W 80 Acres Union Twp. Each of his children received 1/9 of this land. Sales of his/her part were found for James in 1840, Nancy in 1845, Daniel in 1857 and Benjamin in 1862. James land record mentions his father being deceased.
*In the Hendricks County, Indiana Probate Order Book #2, Page 203. "Be it remembered that on this 25th day of September A.D. 1838 administration of the estate of Daniel Boatright late of the county of Hendricks and State of Indiana deceased is granted....unto Samuel C. Tyler."
