Facts and Events
Revolutionary War soldier: 1st New York Regiment. Enlisted man (Private). Roll box: 17 [Revolutionary War Muster Rolls, 1775-1783]. The Grave of a Cornelius Anderson (Rev War veteran) is in the First Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Rockaway, Morris County, New Jerwsey. He was 79 when he died. (Abstract of Graves of Revolutionary War Patriots, Vol. 1) But this may be a different person. See: http://homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~anderson/va/trees/barth.html Note that a grandson of sister Miriam [or Mariam] will also be named LeGrand Anderson. This is circumstantial evidence that ties these lines of Andersons and Shaws together, and they end up in the same place: Van Buren County, Michigan. 1810Census: 1830 Census: References
