[edit] About Bartholomew AndersonBartholomew Anderson received a land grant from Lord Fairfax in 1751 at Marvin Chapel in what is today Clarke County, Virginia. He is a son of Cornelius & Annitje (Opdyck) Anderson. He was born in Hopewell, Hunterdon County [Mercer] and was baptized in Hopewell by Rev. Paulus Van Vleg. He died near Marvin Chapel in [then] Frederick County, Virginia [area became Clarke County, Virginia in 1836], and is buried in the Anderson Farm Cemetery. Bartholomew Anderson had two wills, one dated 21 September 1751, and the other dated 11 May 1754, which the latter was entered in to record and proven on 7 August 1754 in Frederick County, Virginia Court, which included the following record: "Opinion of the Court last will stands, ordered to be entered and recorded".
