1865, Blount County TN Deed: Baumgardner, Cooper from John Morton, Deed Book BB, pg. 474.
I John Morton of Blount County & State of Tenn. have this day bargained & sold & do hereby transfer & convey to Cooper Bumgardner & his heirs forever, for the consideration of one hundred & twenty dollars, with interest thereon, from April 5th, 1859, to me paid, thirty acres off the old William Morton tract of land, on the waters of Sixmile Creek, in the 7th civil Dist. of Blount County. Joining the lands of David Gardner & others. The thirty acres I hereby convey to the said Cooper Bumbardner is to be laid off on the South West corner of said survey: the said thirty acres are to commence, on the South West corner of said Morton's tract; thence, with the land lf David Gardner, North to the land of William H. Morton; thence with said West line, for the complement of thirty acres is made out, around to the beginning.
To have and to hold said Thirty acres of lanhd & every part thereof, to the said Cooper Bumbardner & his heirs forever. I warrant to him, the title thereof, in fee simple, against me & my heirs forever.
This fifty day of September, 1865.
