Baptized Dec. 5, 1680, in Amersfort, Long Island, but removed to Somerset County, New Jersey and settled at Nine Mile Run.

He died before Feb. 19, 1754, when his widow Margaret and son Daniel were cited by the court, as surviving executors, to prove his will. A few weeks later Daniel wrote from New Brunswick pleading his mother's illness for not appearing in response to the citation. After two weeks he again wrote from Ten Mile Run, New Jersey, and said that his father's house had been broken into and that his father's will and other papers had been stolen (NJA:32:22). At the time of baptism of his daughter Maria, in the Raritan Church in 1711, Coenraed's name appears as "Kuen Borckloo" (SCHQ:2:139).

The following is from Helen Barricklow Endecott's research, p 10. 8807 Pointer Lane, Derby, Ks , 67037-8830

..."but Daniel left a will. In his will after willing the estate to his wife and children he mentions a fact that caused the finding of his father's will."

From research done by Helen Endecott and brother Rex Barricklow 1964: ...The following quote about Daniel, born 1720-21, son of Conrad and Margaret, came from the Somerset County New Jersey Historical Quarterly Vol.6 p.27 "Daniel, the son of Conrad succeeded his father on the homestead in Franklin Township, Somerset County New Jersey. Daniel raised a large family, a thing quite common in those times. The family were models of sobriety, industry, economy and perseverance. Their family regulations were of the most approved pattern. They days work was done in the daytime. They rarely lighted a candle or lamp in summer, always going to bed at dusk, rising at daybreak and having milking done before sunrise by the female portion of the family. Daniel was a man of giant frame and possessed great muscular powers. He was heard to sing some of his choice spiritual songs of a Sabbath afternoon for more than a mile distance from his home. From a paper "Historic Highlands" Ruth Hunt had in September, 1988 when we were visiting her in her apartment on Lake Erie.

Conrad Barricklow, a Revolutionary soldier moved to Franklin Township Pennsylvania in 1790. When the war ended he had considerable amount of continental money with which he was interested in buying a farm. The continental money proved to be almost worthless, and buying a farm with the worthless money was out of the question. Joseph Ogleeve took pity on the destitute soldier, and gave Barricklow and his family shelter in a cabin on his farm. Eventually he was able to buy a small farm of his own. Ogleev married one of the Barricklow daughters. Conrad Barricklow settled on the Dunbar and Franklin Township boundary and it was said they ate in Dunbar township and slept in Franklin township.
