Christinia Jensen was born on July 16, 1881 in Denmark to Ole and Mary Jensen. She came over to the United States and settled nere Le Mars, Iowa before the birth of her sister Mary in May of 1884. Nebraska State Historical Society RG230 Douglas County Marriage Certificate Volume 23 Page 386
At age 19 years, Christina, the daughter of Ole Jensen and Mary Johnson wed John W. Van Cleve, age 24. John was born in Missouri to Albert VanCleve and Mary Stebbins. They were married on May 13, 1901 in South Omaha, Nebraska in the Christian Church by Howard Dramblett. John W. VanCleve was born on May 27, 1877. In 1894 Albert A. VanCleve and Harry L. VanCleve lived at 2104 Vinton Street. The Van Cleves were a large family of 10 children. Besides John, there was: Albert, Harry, Andrew, Fred, Evelyn (Daniels), Mary (Cone), Vera (McCaulley, Mable (Harrington), Florence and Betty Jean. Christina VanCleve attended the wedding of her brother Chris Jensen to Anna Rasmussen on March 30, 1909 in South Omaha, Nebraska. Christiana Jensen VanCleve died in St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska on Septerber 22, 1944. She was 63 years old. They lived at 3303 Spring Street. She was Buried at Graceland Park Cemetery. She had died of coronary thrombosis due to arterio sclerosis. Janice VanCleve is the daughter of Harry VanCleve and the grandaughter of Christina and John VanCleve. As of 1990, Janice and her husband, Stephen Berzi, lived in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Her occupation was a Police exployer, Post-Associate Advisor/Rio Rancho Police Department in 1984 and as Educational Assistant at Cibala High School in 1989. Her Husband was a Field Service Mechanic/Border Machinery. Their children are Lorri (born 1963), Diane (born 1967), and Tracey (born 1971). She also has two grandchildren. References
