CHARLES C. UPHOLD  The Republic, February 1, 1979
   Charles C. Uphold, 76, of Meyersdale RD 1, died suddenly Jan. 27, 1979 in Meyersdale.  He was born Aug. 27, 1902 in Meyersdale, a son of the late Lloyd and Sadie (Brown) Uphold.  He is survived by his widow, Nancy Nicholson and these children: C. Elwood of Biglerville, Ruth, wife of Carl Firl, and Grace, wife of Donald Swearman, both of Meyersdale RD 1, Emily Ann, wife of David Walker of Chambersburg; Marsella, wife of Pat Singer of Willoughby, Ohio; also six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ.   Friends were received at the Leckembey Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where services were held at St. Paul's United Church of Christ with the Rev. Lloyd Sechriest officiating.  Interment, church cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the memorial fund at the St. Paul's Church.
