- STEVENS, CHARLES, Spotsylvania Co., d. June 24, 1726, p. Aug. 1, 1727. Wit. Robert Thomas, Thomas Park, James Stevens. Ex. wife Elizabeth Stevens. Leg. wife Elizabeth, land and plantation in Essex Co.; son Mumford Stevens; daughters Mattie and Elizabeth. (Page 61)
- Editor's Note. This will being sworn to by Elizabeth Bledsoe, late ye wife of Charles Stevens, now ye wife of William Bledsoe.

- Spotsylvania County Court 1st of August 1727; Page 187 - ELIZABETH BLEDSOE (late the Wife of CHARLES STEPHENS, now wife of WILLIAM BLEDSOE) exhibitted the Will of her late Husband, CHARLES STEPHENS deced, & made oath as the law enjoyn'd which was proved p the oaths of ROBERT THOMAS, THOMAS PARKES & JAMES STEPHENS, & she haveing entered into bond with WILLIAM BLEDSOE Gent., Certificate for probate in due forme is granted her and ordered that PHILLEMON CAVERNER, JOHN GRAYSON, AMBROSE GRAYSON and JAMES ROY or any three of them do some time between this & the next Court appraise all the said CHARLES STEPHENS Estate as shall be shelved them p the said Executrix (being first sworn before one of his Majties. Justices for this County) and make returne of their proceedings to next Court
