Occupation: Civil Engineer with specialty in Loss Prevention and Safety Engineering. Upon graduation from college, he worked for the state of Maine building bridges. He spent most of his career with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. When he retired he was Assistant Vice President of Loss Prevention.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Norwich University - Class of 1949. During his time at Norwich, Charles was a member of the Rifle Team, Phi Kappa Delta and the Guidon.
Military: At graduation in 1949, he was commissioned as a 2nt Lt in Armored Cavalry in the Army Reserve. In 1958 he made Captain in the Corp of Engineers, Army Reserve.
Passions: He was a long time resident of Scituate, Mass and served on the town Conservation Committee (http://www.town.scituate.ma.us/documents/1-SUMMARY.pdf), Planning Board and was an active member of the Scituate Historical Society (http://www.scituatehistoricalsociety.org/).
