CHARLES EDWIN RECTOR lived in Barton County, Missouri. He moved to Morgan Township, Dade County, Missouri as a boy. He later moved to Cedarville, Dade County, Missouri as a young man.

Charles was a farmer. He was also a zinc miner.

Charles served as President of School Board, Banner School, No. 72, Dade County, Missouri.

Charles became a member of the Corry Baptist Church, Dade County, Missouri in 1885.

In 1870 Charles was living with his parents in Morgan Township, Dade County, Missouri.

In 1880 Charles was living with his brother-in-law and sister (James and Cordelia Stockton) in Madison Township, Dade County, Missouri.

Charles went to Oklahoma in the land rush. He later returned back toMissouri.

In 1900 Charles was living with his brother (William Luther Rector) in Morgan Township, Dade County, Missouri.

In 1910 Charles was living with his family in Cedar Township, DadeCounty, Missouri.

In 1920 Charles was living with his family in Cedar Township, Dade County, Missouri.

Charles is buried in the Cedarville Cemetery, Cedar Township, DadeCounty, Missouri.

   Charles Edwin Rector, son of Lilburn and Emily Rector, was born May 27, 1869 in Barton County near Milford, Missouri, and departed this life March 30«sup»th«/sup» 1954 at the age of 84 years, 10 months and 3 days.
   
   He spent his boyhood days near Dadeville, moving to Cedarville when a young man.
   
   On September 23«sup»rd«/sup», 1903 he married to Eva Teters and they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last September.
   
   He leaves to mourn his departure his dear wife and ten children, four boys and six girls. They are Charley of Ada, Minnesota; Luther of Los Alamos, New Mexico; Keith of Los Angeles; and Roy of Greenfield; Mrs. Gladys Schultz of Pueblo, Colorado; Mrs. Beulah Devine of Chico, California; Mrs. Nellie Higgins and Mrs. Bernice Orrell of Jerico Springs; Mrs. Claude Montgomery and Mrs. Ethel Orrell of Lockwood. He also leaves a twin sister, Mrs. Della McClelland of Ash Grove; another sister, Mrs. Rose Edison of Seattle, Washington, one brother, Luther of Jerico Springs; two half sisters, Mrs. Rhoda Heifner of Diamond, Missouri; and Mrs. Della Phipps of Portland, Oregon; one half-brother Elmer of Seattle, Washington; twenty-five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
   
   He was converted at the age of sixteen at the old Baptist church at Corry near Dadeville.
   
   To his wife and children he leaves a rich heritage of love. They will ever remember his loving kindness, his wife counsel, his many sacrifices and how he always pointed out the true and righteous way to them. He was loved and honored by all who knew him.
   
   Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Robert Baker at Cedarville Church, Dade County on Thursday, April 1, and interment was in Cedarville cemetery.
