The Marsh files show that Charles b abt 1796 (1850 census) m. Milly Turner and had at least 2 children. Ross b 2 June 1816 and Milly no d of birth and died 12 hours later. Mentioned in father's will dated 25 Jan 1827.

A letter from Ross Marsh, bearing the date of Sept. 22, 1873, Rising Sun, Indiana, in which he speaks of uncle John Cole as very feeble, and asks for the address of uncle William in Michigan. He also speaks of James Marsh as keeping store, and of Aunt Lydia as wishing to send him something in memory of Uncle Ross. He also speaks of his father selling out 45 years ago to move to Pennsylvania and that he was then 12 years old. In another hand is this penciled memorandum, "Frankfort, P.O Benzine Co., Michigan. (That was correct for William who is found in the 1870 census with son Hugh Monroe)
